Dear friends! Welcome to my website dedicated to the Kharkiv Metro.
The Kharkiv Metro was opened on August 23, 1975, with eight stations. Today, it consists of three lines and 30 stations, with a total route length of 38.45 km. Kharkiv has a well-developed metro system that connects the city’s largest residential districts with the city centre. Over its fifty years of operation, the Kharkiv Metro has become not only an important means of transportation but also an integral part of the city, its modern history, and its architectural identity. As a convenient and efficient mode of transport that enables rapid travel across the city, the metro enjoys great popularity among Kharkiv residents and accounts for approximately half of all passenger journeys in the city.
