About
I sincerely welcome you to the website! 👋
My name is Artem. Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by rail transport, particularly subways — their operation, architecture, past, and possible future. Over time, this curiosity evolved into the website you see now.
Here is the result of many years of hard work. During the project, dozens of annual print runs of periodicals were combed through, hundreds of historical photographs and documents were obtained, and around thirty personal interviews were conducted with architects, builders, and metro workers who kindly agreed to speak. Sadly, many of them are no longer with us.
The vast majority of the information was obtained between 2015 and 2018. Previously, these materials were published on the website mirmetro(dot)net, but after the outbreak of full-scale war, a decision was made to develop a separate website for this purpose, so as not to have any connection with the resource that contains materials related to the aggressor country.
